Scholarly Information Services/Library is hosting an Asian Focus Day in the foyer of the R G Menzies Building between 12:00 noon and 2:00pm on Tuesday 9 October 2001 and we would be delighted to welcome staff and students to enjoy the activities planned for the Day.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), Professor John Hearn, will launch the program of activities which will include:
- A Japanese Tea Ceremony
- Chinese readings
- Thai dance
- Indonesian readings and music
- Vietnamese poetry
- Calligraphy demonstration
- Timorese chant
- An Asian Focus on Art as represented in the School of Art: an exhibition of materials from the National Institute of the Arts Library & Resource Centre (venue: McDonald Room, R G Menzies Building)
Light refreshments will also be available.
