Since 2012 the Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies (TRCCS) program has been established at major universities and research institutes throughout the world to promote:

  • Chinese Studies with particular Taiwanese characteristics.
  • international exchanges in Chinese studies.
  • Taiwan's achievements in Sinology, and to collaboratively build a global sinological resource and information platform.

In 2015 the TRCCS project was awarded the 2015 American Libraries Association (ALA) Presidential Citation for Innovative International Library Projects, an award for outstanding global development programs that share academic resources globally in the fields of Chinese arts, culture, history and social sciences.

The Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies (TRCCS) was established in the ANU Library in November 2015.

The Centre includes over 1,000 scholarly resources primarily in the fields of history, religion, culture, literature, society and politics, as well as cross-strait relations. The ANU community can access the Centre's books and DVDs via the Library catalogue, and the unique online scholarly resources for Taiwan and Chinese studies below:

The ANU Library welcomes the agreement with the National Central Library of Taiwan, which enabled the Centre to be established at the University. Resources in the Centre will continue to increase in the coming years as a result of the agreement.
