WebBridge

What is WebBridge?

WebBridge provides links between resources - for example, from a citation in a database to the full text of the journal article.

Using WebBridge

Look for WebBridge@ANU icon when using online resources. Clicking on the button will give you links to available resources, including full-text, the ANU Library catalogue, and ArticleReach.

What if full text isn't available through WebBridge?

There are many reasons why a link to the full text of the article won't appear in the WebBridge window. For example, there may not be enough information in the citation to allow WebBridge to determine the link. Always check the library catalogue to see if the item is held in electronic or print format.

How does WebBridge work?

WebBridge is a link resolver using OpenURL, a standard that transmits bibliographic information. This allows WebBridge to receive details about the citation you've found, and compare it against holdings data. It also allows WebBridge to automatically construct searches for other services (eg the Library catalogue).
