Copying and printing (card operated)

A card-operated system called Moncard is used with ANU Library photocopiers and printers at these ANU Library sites: Chifley, Hancock, Menzies, Law, Art and Music.

You can purchase a card or add value to these cards at any card dispenser using cash only. You can use your print quota to photocopy and print. The value on your card can also be used to print after you have used up your quota.

ANU staff and students should register their copy cards. Go to "Manage My Account" on the Identity Web site to register your card.

Cards once purchased become the property of the purchaser. No refunds will be issued for cards. However, you may seek re-imbursement for printing failures beyond your control. Use this re-imbursement form.

Notes:

  • You can only use copy cards sold at the ANU in ANU Library machines.
  • Change is not available in any Library location.

How to buy a card

  1. Dispenser / Revaluer machines

Chifley, Hancock, Menzies, Law and Music libraries (The Music Library card dispenser only takes coins).

Cost: $2.00 (including $0.90 copying credit). This can be a $2 coin or any combination of coins (excluding 5c pieces) which add up to $2.00.

The dispenser/revaluers do not give change. For example, if you put $3.00 or $2.50 in the Dispenser/Revaluer, it will not give change or add value to your card.

You cannot buy a card with a $5.00 note.

  2. Department-funded cards

ANU Departments may follow this procedure to arrange for Department-funded copy cards:

    1. Log a job with the DOI Helpdesk
    2. Supply a charge code
    3. State how much credit they want on the card

Care of the card

Treat your card with care. Do not crush it, bend it, or carry it around strong magnetic fields. The machines only recognize cards issued by ANU.

Damaged or lost cards

The card, once purchased, becomes the property of the purchaser. The ANU Library cannot replace Cards which are lost or damaged beyond use. However, if you have remaining value on your card and you registered your card by entering a 'Personal ID', you can have the remaining value transferred to a new card by using the Lost Card Notification Form.
