The J.B. Chifley Building contains the main social sciences and humanities collection. In addition, there are some social sciences and humanities materials in other Library buildings
Chifley InfoPlace, an initiative of the Division of Information operates on Level 2, J.B. Chifley Building. Infoplace Consultants can provide information and assistance with the university's IT facilities including setting up and organising email, wordprocessing and the use of popular software packages.
The Digital Media Suite in the Chifley InfoPlace (Level 2) area contains a variety of digitising, authoring and publishing tools including scanners, a CD-Rom burner and a video capture suite. It is available to all staff and students of the Australian National University. Students need to provide their own headphones for use with Infoplace computers.
The J.B. Chifley Building contains the main audiovisual collection, with areas provided for viewing videos, DVDs and listening to tapes.
