The Law Library will be closed temporarily from Saturday 31 August to Sunday 15 September due to planned electrical work in the building.
How will I get books/resources?
A retrieval service will be in operation during this time.
Law Library materials will need to be requested from the Library Catalogue.
Items requested will be available within 24-hours from Monday to Friday. Please note requests will not be processed on weekends. Any items requested on the weekend will be processed on Monday to be available on Tuesday. If a request is urgent, email or call the Law Library and we will endeavour to retrieve it quickly.
The Two-Hour Loan collection will be available from the pop-up Law Library in the College of Law Building 7, Room 7.1.4 (the Law Students’ Common Room).
How do I return books/resources?
You can return items to any of the other ANU Library branches. There is also a temporary returns box outside the regular Law Library entrance.
Where will I study?
During this time, you will need to find study locations at any of the other ANU Library branches. Menzies is the closest Library branch, and both Chifley and Hancock branches are open 24/7.
The Law Library study rooms will also be unavailable during this time.
Can I access the building?
During this time, you will not be able to access the Law Library or the foyer area (including the lockers).
How do I speak to a Law Librarian?
The Law Library can be contacted 9am to 5pm, Monday-Friday via email or phone +61 2 6125 4013.
A number of librarians will be located in the Law Students’ Common Room (Room 7.1.4). Please follow the signs off Fellows Road towards the Law Link Theatre, or through Moot Court.
