Library welcomes back users after lockdown

18 November 2021

The ANU Library was thrilled to reopen its doors following the campus shutdown.

It seems that our community was happy too – as we had over 8000 people using our library branches on campus in the first week (Tuesday to Friday 3pm)!

You are welcome to come to our branches to browse our physical collections, use our services and facilities, and enjoy our ample study spaces. The Chifley, Hancock, and Law Library branches are open 24/7*, and Menzies is open 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Library staff are available to assist you during business hours – see our Opening Hours page for up-to-date information.

Getting support

Whether you are on campus, or online, ANU Library staff are available to assist you.

You can chat online with a live librarian, book an appointment for a consultation (via Zoom or Teams), or short face-to-face meetings can be arranged if required.

Librarians can help you find and access information; develop and refine search strategies; find the best e-resources for your subject area; and navigate our collections and services.

* ANU ID card required for 24-hour access from 5pm–9am and weekends
