The Chicago Manual of Style has published its 17th edition, which is now available to ANU students and staff online via the Library catalogue.
The latest edition includes updated and expanded guidelines that reflects advances in technology and social change, a glossary of problematic words and phrases, and information on the latest publishing practices. It also offers advice on:
- writing exclusively for electronic publication
- citing social media posts, online multimedia, and websites
- using citation management tools
- using gender neutral pronouns and bias-free English.
