Join us at the Wikipedia Hack-a-Thon – two informal workshops where you can develop your digital literacy skills and get Wiki-savvy!
These half-day workshops are co-hosted by the ANU Library, ANU Research Skills & Training and Wikimedia Australia.
So, what will you learn?
Day 1 - writing for Wikipedia with the visual editor (3 April)
Participate in hands-on exercises and learn basic skills in Wikipedia formatting, linking, citation and using images.
Day 2 - writing for Wikipedia: beyond the basics (4 April)
Put your skills from Day 1 into practice with a mini edit-a-thon! Share your knowledge and ideas in a fun, collaborative environment.
Dr Kerry Raymond is a retired Professor of Information Technology. She now writes for Wikipedia and does Wikipedia outreach work such as talks, training and events. She was the first Wikipedian-in-Residence at the State Library of Queensland.
