We understand that this is a time of uncertainty, and the ANU Library is committed to supporting the ANU community in any way we can. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with our friendly librarians and we will do our best to assist you.

Chifley Library accessible to essential ANU staff

The Chifley Library will remain accessible 24/7 for essential ANU staff with permission to access the building for recording or streaming lectures. You will need your ANU ID card to gain entry.

Access to the collection

A limited Click & Collect service will be offered. Essential ANU staff will be able to access the JB Chifley Library with permission and can collect items. All other ANU students and staff can contact the ANU Library with details of which items are needed and how they would like to arrange for collection.

No late fees during ACT lockdown

The ANU Library will not charge late fees during the ACT lockdown. If you have material due during this time and are unable to return it, you will not be charged any late fees.

Overdue fines

During Semester 2, the ANU Library will waive overdue library fines on ordinary collection materials.

Returning items

If you are unable to return books to campus due to border restrictions, please contact the ANU Library to arrange for alternative delivery.

The BONUS+ service is unavailable until further notice due to ACT lockdown.

Document Supply Services

Borrowing physical items between ANU and other libraries has been suspended. There is no interruption to supplying articles and book chapters and you can continue requesting for part of the book or articles. If you wish to renew your Interlibrary Loan (ILL) item please contact
