COVID-19 support

Update: The ANU Library will not be charged late fees during the ACT lockdown. If you have material due during this time and are unable to return it, you will not be charged any late fees.

We understand that this is a time of uncertainty, and the ANU Library is committed to supporting the ANU community in any way we can. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with our friendly librarians and we will do our best to assist you.

Returning items

If you are unable to return books to campus due to border restrictions, please contact the ANU Library via phone or email to arrange for alternative delivery. If items must be returned via post, please save your receipt and send to the ANU Library for reimbursement (by prior arrangement only).

Please note that in the first instance, items should be renewed online via My Library Record or over the phone.

Library fines

Until 20 November 2021, the ANU Library will waive overdue fines*. If you have ordinary collection material that is overdue, you can return it without incurring any charge.

*Fines will still apply for two-hour and two-day loans; recalled items; and lost or destroyed items.

Recalled items

If you have an item that has been recalled, please return it within 10 days of the recall notice. If you are having trouble meeting that timeframe, please speak to library staff.
