New and improved reading list system launching soon

17 Jan 2023

Managing and using reading lists is about to get easier!

Leganto – the new ANU course reading list system – is about to launch for all ANU academics and students in time for Semester 1.

What is Leganto?

Leganto is a course reading list management system and copyright compliance tool.

It enables course instructors to easily build and manage course reading lists for students with one simple, interactive system.

What are the benefits of Leganto?

Using Leganto Reading Lists will be a lot simpler for both students and staff. This new system delivers more streamlined, user-centric services and creates better access to library collections.

Leganto is integrated with Wattle – meaning users will only have to log in to one system.

Searching for course materials can be done directly in the Library Catalogue, and students will be able to access reading lists through their course page in Wattle.

What do I need to do?

Using Leganto is easy. From the week commencing 23 January, course instructors cancreate their own reading lists by following the instructions in our how-to guide.

If you would prefer help to developyour reading list, please email library.readinglists@anu.edu.au and we will arrange for one of our staff members to step you through the process.

When do I need to create my list?

To ensure lists are ready for the start of semester, we would recommend contentbe updated by Friday 10 February.

If your list contains any new resources you would like the Library to purchase, please submit your reading list by Tuesday 31 January.

How do I get help?

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about Leganto – please contact library.readinglists@anu.edu.au, call 02 6125 9577, or speak to staff in your usual Library branch.

Thank you for your patience during this transition period. We look forward to continuing to support your studies, research and teaching.
