ANU Library Academic Skills: Referencing and Academic Integrity

Learn why, when, and how to reference in your written assessments and what it means to work with academic integrity.

Referencing and academic integrity are vital to your university studies. As a student, it is important to understand how to produce work that is genuine and original, how much outside assistance is acceptable, and the difference between poor academic practice and academic misconduct.

This workshop will provide practical tips on referencing, introduce several different referencing styles, and explain how Turnitin and EndNote can help you to avoid plagiarism and streamline the referencing process. These tools can also help you build a citation library that will support you throughout your entire degree. You will leave with a better understanding of academic integrity best practices, learn how to avoid academic misconduct, and feel inspired to produce original and meaningful work!
