Accessing databases and online resources
The ANU Library provides access to a wide range of online resources, including databases, journal articles, ebooks, newspapers, data collections and multimedia content.
The easiest way to find and access Library databases and online resources is through the Library A-Z Databases page. This page lists all databases available to ANU students and staff and provides links to access them.
Some resources require you to sign in before you can use them. Depending on the database, you may be asked to:
- log in with your ANU username and password
- sign in with ANU Single Sign-On (SSO)
- use a database-specific username and password (where provided in the A-Z Databases listing)
Accessing resources off campus
Most online resources provided by the ANU Library are only available to current ANU students and staff because of licence agreements with publishers.
Many resources can be accessed off campus through the ITS Reverse Proxy Login:
However, some databases, including Lexis+ and Westlaw, use ANU Single Sign-On (SSO) instead of the ANU reverse proxy. For these resources, access the database from the Library A-Z Databases page and sign in with your ANU credentials when prompted.
