E-resources and databases are electronic information repositories that can include collections of electronic journals; indexes; collections of electronic books, or multimedia publications.
Some e-resources and databases subscribed to by the Library require passwords. ANU staff and students can log in to these e-resources and databases using their ANU ID and an e-resource password. All e-resources and databases requiring a password are identified in the A - Z listing.
A number of e-resources and databases require specific searching, including:
- non-networked e-resources (databases only available on particular computers in Library locations due to licensing restrictions).
- e-resources hosted on the Citrix server (e-resources on the ANU Citrix server-networked CDROMs-that require an appropriate Citrix Receiver plugin to be installed).
- Internet accessible databases (e-resources accessible from any computer connected to the Internet).
All e-resources and databases requiring special searching are identified in the A - Z listing.
Off campus access
Most e-resources and databases subscribed to by the ANU Library are restricted to ANU staff and students for licensing reasons. ANU students and staff can access e-resources on campus, or off campus via the Information Technology Services Reverse Proxy Login.
