ANU Archives’ records now searchable in Trove
With just a few clicks from their desktops Researchers all over the world can now find University Archives and Noel Butlin Archives Centre collections via Trove, the National Library of Australia's (NLA) database.
ANU Archives staff worked with the NLA and Mark Triggs from Teaspoon Consulting to add the descriptions to Trove, directly linking collections back to the ANU Archives' database.
The newly discoverable collections include pre-federation trade union minute books and the records of the Australian Agricultural Company from 1824, both on the UNESCO Australian Memory of the World Register; the Pacific Research Archives; records of ANU researchers, and The National AIDS Archive. These collections join the more than 8,000 photographs already harvested by Trove from the ANU open access repository.
Trove is an essential resource for researchers and being part of it will ensure the Archives' collections become more visible and lead to greater use of these valuable resources.
