Chifley Library Welcomes Over 1,300 for Open Day

08 Apr 2026

On 28 March Chifley Library welcomed over 1,300 visitors through its doors for ANU Open Day.  Prospective students and their families got a chance to speak with library staff and explore the building’s study spaces, services and collections, getting a first‑hand look at how the library supports students throughout their university journey.

Special thanks to the Student Library Ambassadors who were standouts on the day, and whose insights into daily study, research and campus life were especially useful for our visitors.  Supported by expert library staff, their interactions made it clear that the library is more than just a place to study, it’s a defining part of the ANU experience.

Thanks again to all the staff who spent part of their Saturday welcoming newcomers to the library; and to our visitors, we hope to see you again soon in upcoming semesters!
