NAIDOC Week 2022

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land on which we stand.  We acknowledge the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples who are the traditional custodians of the Canberra area, and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

 

National NAIDOC Week 2022 runs from 3 to 10 July. The theme for 2022 is Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!, which calls us to continue getting up, standing up, and showing up for systemic change. You can read more about this theme on the NAIDOC Week website.

The ANU Library has a significant collection of resources by, for and about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. To mark NAIDOC Week (and National Reconciliation Week, which ran from 27 May to 3 June), the Chifley Library has put together a display showcasing some of these items.

We have series of videos from Ronin Films as part of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) collection.

Our library staff have developed an online guide which provides an introduction to the scholarly resources available at the ANU Library about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, and cultures.
