Update on hail repairs

Chifley Library
- Works on the Chifley Library roof are nearing completion.
- On 26 June the scaffolding will begin to come down to the spandrel level, and the spandrel panels will be reinstalled once scaffold tie-ins are removed on 28 June.
- The scaffolding will be completely removed by approximately 12 July.
- Mastic removal around windows is almost completed.
- On 1 July, Level 4 will be closed from 5am to 10am due to a required power shutdown. During this time there will be no internet access or printing in Chifley Library. We will keep you updated on the timing of this outage, and notices/signs will be distributed.
- Soffit balcony cladding on north-west elevation will be replaced the week of 10 July.This will be done on elevated work platforms (EWPs), with exclusion zones in place on Joplin Lane.
- Final clean of the compound and site is booked for 15 July.
Law Library
- Scaffolding around the College of Law building is set to commence in late July.
- Roof repairs impacting the Law Library portion of the building are expected to commence in late 2023.
- Work on internal repairs will start by 18 July.
- The copper work on Law buildings has been completed.
- A suspicious substance has been found inside the roof and is being tested. This may cause a delay if work plans need to be updated accordingly.
- We will keep you updated as this project progresses.
Menzies Library
- Scaffold installation and site establishment will start around Monday 3 July.
- All access and egress points will remain accessible during this time.
- We will keep you updated as this project progresses.
Art & Music Library
- Scaffold installation and site establishment will start around Monday 3 July.
