2010-present: 21st Century and beyond: ANU Library goes 'E' and continues to expand

In 2003 the University and the Library stepped boldly into the digital age with the establishment of the nascent ANU ePress in the Menzies building.  As the small group developed its processes, it began republishing a small selection of books as part of an initial trial.

From a humble total of two books produced in 2003, ANU ePress has progressed to offer over 450 new titles in a variety of formats and the collection is growing at a rate of 50-60 volumes per year.  A selection of ANU ePress titles are displayed. You can view the E Press backlist and freely download any title or purchase as a print-on-demand paperback.

Collections no longer consist solely of books on shelves but also include ebooks for online viewing and downloading for computers, phones, ebook readers and tablets, to be read in almost any conceivable location.Currently the Library provides access to more than 63 million electronic resources, including full text journal articles, and continues to expand exponentially.
