SciFinder-n
Username & password
To use SciFinder-n, you must create your own username and password.
- Go to the SciFinder-n registration site. Note: This site must be accessed from an ANU IP address.
- Create your unique user ID and password.
- Review the Step-by-step guide to creating your SciFinder-n account (located on this page under Reference documents)
- You will receive an email confirming your registration. Note: You must register with an ANU email account.
- Once registered, you can access SciFinder-n through the ANU Library's E-Resources and databases page.
Please note: your account may be deactivated after 18 months of inactivity. If this occurs, please contact email help@cas.org to speak with a CAS Customer Center representative, or email Heather Cole at hcole@acs-i.org for access and technical support in Australia or New Zealand. CAS aim to reactivate accounts in less than 24 hours to minimise disruption for those who are affected.
Off-Campus access to SciFinder-n
Once you have your username and password, you can access SciFinder-n from off-campus through the reverse proxy.
Issues with SciFinder-n & Virtual
Some browsers will produce an error message when trying to access SciFinder-n via Virtual. If you see a message advising you that Virtual's security certificate is incorrect, simply click through to the SciFinder-n site, or create an exception for the SciFinder-n site.
