ANU Library receives donation from Embassy of Azerbaijan
The ANU Library was delighted to welcome donations from the Embassy of Azerbaijan, which both add to the scholarly resources available for students and academics at the University and also contribute to understanding the culture of Azerbaijan.
A delegation from the Azerbaijan Embassy visited Chifley Library in September to formally commit to developing a relationship with the ANU Library, and to view an Azerbaijan themed display, which included a number of items recently donated by the Embassy.
The delegation included the Azerbaijan Ambassador, Rovshan Jamshidov, and the Member of the Milli Mejlis (Parliament) of the Azerbaijan Republic, Fatiyev Khanla Nuru oglu.
Both dignitaries were impressed with the display and thanked the Library for having resources on and about their country.
The Embassy has agreed very kindly to continue to donate Azerbaijan resources to the Library in the future, including English texts.
The display was prepared by Tracey Cunningham and Vanessa Galloway photographed the visit.
The Azerbaijan display will remain in the Chifley Library until mid October 2015.
