People with accessibility needs

Library staff in all Library locations can help eligible users by collecting books from the shelves; arranging for books to be brought from other buildings, and assisting in the use of the Library's Catalogue and electronic services.

The Accessibility Office provide advice, evidence-based supports and adjustments for ANU students.

Accessibility support

The ANU Library provides accessibility support and services to students, staff and visitors.

Chifley resource room

A suite of assistive technology available for use by eligible students registered with the Accessibility Office.

Hearing augmentation

Most centrally supported teaching spaces on campus have infrared hearing augmentation devices.

Off-campus service

The ANU Library provides access to resources to eligible ANU staff and students unable to use the Library in Canberra.

Document supply services

If the ANU Library doesn’t have the item you require, ANU staff and students can request items from other libraries.

Maps & way finding

Accessible parking maps and disabled toilets maps are available online and other information can be requested.
